HIYA Your site is so cool and YOU are so cool. I love the theme and I can relate to a lot of what you've written. > How do YOU reject tech? I started deleting social media accounts last year. At the start of this year, I sold my iPhone and bought a TCL onetouch 4042s. No browser, no apps, just texts, calls, and a music player. Since then I've made a lot of changes and eventually found myself in this corner of the web, making my own site. Unfortunately, I've also learned things that have made me feel hopeless and unsettled. Things like browser fingerprinting. The lengths that people will go to to know everything about you. Eugh. But anyway, It's thanks to inspiring sites like yours and people like you that I've come this far! Keep it up :> By the way, the "contact" link in the "WH47 D0?" panel of the main page links to outskirt-paradise.atabook.org rather than 0u75k1r7-p4rad1c3.atabook.org. Just thought I'd let you know!

Hi there! I just found your page and read your Nu-Ludz section. I think you've done the best job of putting into words what I've been feeling for almost two years now. Getting consumed and overwhelmed by social media and ever-aggressive online interactions is what led me to delete all of my social accounts and create my own website. That, doubling down on my physical media collecting and switching back to a flip phone not only took me back to the simpler times that I remember so well, but it really helps to keep me grounded in the real world and form connections with people over shared interests. I can't wait to see what else you do, and I'd love to join your Webring once it goes up. Looking forward to reading more! :)

Hell yeah, that's what it's all about, I've got the chatroom and the forums now if you want to get more involved I would love to setup a webring.

honestly, lately i’ve been feeling so nostalgic for the old web. when i stumbled upon neocities, i was like... WOAH, finally. the problem with social media and modern networks isn't even the tech itself MAYBE, it's how they're used and shoved in our faces 24/7. it’s reached a point where it feels impossible to stay connected with society if you don't use them. but honestly, who even wants to be part of that for long? long live creativity and the people who still believe in the old web :P

Sometimes its not what you add to your life that improves it but what you decrease and take away, welcome to the indy web! Long live humanity online

long live the human touch to our creations, long live the human soul! I myself have found it tricky to grow accustomed to listening to physical media music, but I have managed to get some CDs for myself. Someday I'll find a vinyl player..

Vinyl is selling more than CDs these days it's like the 1980s all over again! Enjoy

love love the design and message. a friend recently described me as a "complicated semiluddite", so am glad to have found a kindred spirit via NavLinkAds!

Replied on: May 24, 2026 at 10:46:43 PM

Being a complicated "semi-luddite" sounds like an easy way to say "Critical of the current technological framework designed to debase the human experience." There is a better way and it's the duty of the Nu-Ludz to show others the way. Glad to hear others are taking notice of your stance!
